On Monday June 3, 2024, 2pm-5pm (Aria building, room A2), invited artist Nikolaos Tsironis will give a talk and lead a workshop in the framework of the course "Performance and social applications IV: Activism and public sphere: Theory and applications," taught by Dr. Despina Zacharopoulou.

Nikolaos Tsironis (DAGLARA) is a fashion designer, artist and drag performer based in Athens. He studied fashion design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and today he runs the brand DAGLARA, a multifaceted project that combines diverse means of expression, such as performance art, video and painting. He worked as a costume designer for the opera ORFEAS 2020, a production of the Alternative Stage of the National Opera, as well as in the performance "Songs of the Greek People - Drag Oratorio" of the Athens Epidaurus Festival. He has participated in international festivals and exhibitions, such as Digital Feminism (Dresden), 2nd ” (Berlin), Tending Towards (Tinos-Athens) and Superball 2018 (Amsterdam), where he has been awarded with the titles “House of Superball” and “Miss Superball 2018.”
